Terms of Service
Effective date: September 2026
Last reviewed: July 2026. The Margam is not a law firm. Content on this page does not constitute legal advice.
Educational Content Only
The Margam provides general educational content about the F-1 visa process and United States immigration system. Nothing on this platform constitutes immigration advice, legal advice, or a guarantee of any immigration outcome. The Margam is not a law firm and is not a substitute for advice from a licensed immigration attorney or your Designated School Official. Always consult your DSO and a licensed immigration attorney for decisions specific to your situation.
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using The Margam platform at themargamusa.com (the “Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Platform. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and The Margam.
2. Description of Service
The Margam is an educational platform that provides structured coursework, quizzes, and resources designed to help international students on F-1 visas understand their rights, responsibilities, and key immigration processes. The Platform includes video lessons, knowledge assessments, progress tracking, personalized roadmaps, and a certificate of completion.
3. Not Legal Advice
The content provided on The Margam is for educational and informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal advice, immigration consulting, or any form of professional counsel. You should always consult your Designated School Official (DSO) or a qualified immigration attorney for guidance specific to your situation. The Margam is not a law firm, immigration consultancy, or government agency.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the Platform. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this eligibility requirement. Accounts created by automated means or on behalf of others without authorization are prohibited.
5. Account Registration
To access course content, you must create an account using a valid email address and password or through a supported authentication provider. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at hello@themargamusa.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
6. Payment and Course Access
The one-time $200 payment includes 30 days of course video access. It also includes discounted pricing on webinars and priority access to future cohorts and scholarships for the same 30-day period. These course-purchase benefits are separate from paid membership ($10/month or $100/year) and do not include access to the private LinkedIn community. Course video access and these included benefits begin on the date of purchase, or the course launch date, whichever is later, and expire together at day 30.
At the end of the 30-day period, your video access ends permanently, with no exceptions or extensions. Once this period has ended, video access cannot be restored or repurchased, and maintaining or starting a membership does not restore video access. Pricing is displayed on the Platform at the time of purchase, and all payments are in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated.
7. Membership
Membership is a separate, optional, auto-renewing subscription. Membership is offered in two plans: $10 per month, billed monthly, or $100 per year, billed once annually (equivalent to ten months of the monthly price). You may start, restart, or change a membership plan at any time.
Membership provides access to our private LinkedIn community, discounts on webinars, workshops, and events, and priority access to future cohorts and scholarships. Both the monthly and annual plans renew automatically until you cancel. Membership does not include video access: video access is governed solely by Section 6 and ends permanently at day 30 regardless of whether you hold an active membership. If your membership is cancelled or lapses, your membership benefits, including private LinkedIn community access and event discounts, end.
8. Automatic Renewal Disclosure
Membership plans renew automatically until you cancel.
- Monthly plan: $10, billed every month, on the same date each month, until cancelled.
- Annual plan: $100, billed once every year, on the same date each year, until cancelled.
- How to cancel: you can cancel online at any time from the membership page by clicking “Cancel or manage membership,” or by emailing us at hello@themargamusa.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep your membership benefits until then, and you will not be charged again. Cancellation does not refund the current billing period and does not restore video access.
9. Refund Policy
Refunds are available within 7 days of purchase if you have completed less than 20% of the course content. To request a refund, contact us at hello@themargamusa.com with your account email and reason for the request. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days. For full details, please review our Refund Policy.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform, including but not limited to video lessons, written materials, quiz questions, graphics, logos, and the course structure, is the intellectual property of The Margam and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit any content from the Platform without prior written permission from The Margam.

Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of your account without refund.

It does not represent a professional certification, academic credit, legal qualification, or government endorsement.
13. Privacy
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid for access.
16. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be harmful to the Platform, other users, or third parties. You may also terminate your account at any time by contacting us at hello@themargamusa.com.
