1. Educational Content Only
The Margam provides general educational content about the F-1 visa process and the United States immigration system. All lessons, quizzes, roadmaps, certificates, emails, and supporting materials on this platform are designed to build awareness and help international students understand their rights, responsibilities, and key milestones. They are not, and are not intended to be, legal advice, immigration advice, or any form of professional counsel.
2. No Attorney-Client Relationship
Nothing in this course, on this platform, or in any communication from The Margam creates an attorney-client relationship between you and The Margam, its founders, its team, or any contributor. The Margam is not a law firm, immigration consultancy, or government agency. Accessing our content, creating an account, completing the course, purchasing access, or contacting us does not retain any of our team as your attorney or representative.
3. Immigration Rules Change Frequently
United States immigration law, regulations, agency guidance, and operational practices change frequently, sometimes without public notice. While we make reasonable efforts to keep our content current and accurate, we cannot guarantee that every detail on the platform reflects the latest rules, forms, fees, timelines, or policy interpretations. You are responsible for verifying any information before acting on it. Always confirm current requirements with your Designated School Official (DSO) or a licensed immigration attorney.
4. The Margam Does Not Replace Your DSO
Your university's Designated School Official and international student office are your official points of contact for F-1 status matters, including SEVIS records, I-20 issuance, travel signatures, program extensions, CPT and OPT authorization, and reporting obligations. The Margam does not replace, override, or substitute for any advice, instruction, or decision issued by your DSO or international student office. When guidance from this platform differs in any way from what your DSO tells you, follow your DSO.
For complex legal questions, status concerns, compliance issues, or situations involving potential violations, denials, or adverse actions, consult a licensed immigration attorney in your jurisdiction.
5. Individual Circumstances Vary
Every student's situation is different. Visa category, program type, intake term, country of citizenship, academic standing, travel history, employment history, and many other factors affect how immigration rules apply to you. Generalized educational content cannot account for your individual facts. Do not rely on The Margam as the sole basis for any decision that affects your F-1 status, your ability to enter or remain in the United States, or your eligibility for employment authorization.
6. Certificate of Completion
The certificate you receive upon finishing the course acknowledges your participation in The Margam's educational program. It is not a professional certification, academic credit, legal qualification, government endorsement, or any form of authorization from a U.S. immigration agency. It does not confer any legal status, benefit, or right.
7. No Guarantees
The Margam makes no representation, warranty, or guarantee about any immigration outcome, including but not limited to visa issuance, admission at a U.S. port of entry, maintenance of F-1 status, employment authorization, change of status, or any other benefit. Immigration decisions are made solely by U.S. government agencies and officers based on the facts and evidence in each individual case.
